Thousand Words

First, after thinking out the question is a picture worth a thousand words. I decided to look through the internet, magazines, and personal family pictures. Came to the conclusion that yes, picture can be worth a thousand words. I mean the pictures that were taken for some special purpose. Maybe, to hold on to the memory or special event that is in motion.

In my opinion a picture is worth a thousand words because it's an irreplaceable memory. Not only that maybe when someone is trying to explain it better without even putting it in words. We often understand visually of what is going on. A picture can hold a memorable event that you share with someone. I'm not saying everyone can see the same thing in a certain pictures. Sometimes people see different things. For example a family photo can mean something different than a person from outside circle like a stranger. They may not understand what is going on. Or a picture taken for a bigger audience can be meant for a different purpose.

Mainly in advertising a poster for example that has a person dying of cancer from smoking can be pretty self explanatory. You don't need words to explain what is going on. Maybe even a painting can explain how the person may be feeling or felt at the time.

Many people don't think a picture says a thousand words, they sometimes see absolutely nothing. They don't get what the picture is trying to say. Need to explain by the person that took the picture, or text that comes with it.

Everybody understands or see things differently like a picture. Or how they take things in. Sometimes people need to visually see what happen like in a book.
